Santa Barbara Zoo Wedding in the Summer

Coming all the way from Chicago, John and Nadia made the most of their Santa Barbara Zoo wedding by inviting friends and family to enjoy a bit of the wild.  They treated their guests to zoo tours and photos with some of the wild residents, including a Giraffe and a penguin.  In addition to travel themed table decor, they had hundreds of paper airplanes spread through out the reception.

Beautiful Santa Barbara Historical Museum Wedding

Alicia and Aaron are both Santa Barbara natives, so a Santa Barbara Historical Museum Wedding was a perfect choice for their wedding reception.  The SBHM is in an excellent location for a wedding, the guests and attendees want to be close to downtown, and still experience an intimate wedding celebration.  Spanish architecture and design characterize the entire aesthetic of this Santa Barbara venue.  And it is also walking distance to some wonderful but slightly hidden locations that I took Alicia and Aaron for their newly wed session.

Mammoth Mountain Wedding at 11,000ft

Jon and Andrea’s Mammoth Mountain Wedding took place on the Summit just above 11,000ft. I had never been to Mammoth in Summer, but now I can’t wait to get back.  When you get up to that elevation in the Summer, you can’t really count on blue skies.  Though on this occasion, it was a blessing when a high Sierra thunderstorm started pushing in from above the Minarette range off in the distance. Instead of direct over-head lighting, we were treated to beautiful cloud formation all around us on the Summit and a glowing red sunset off in the distance.  Everything went as well as I could have hoped for!

Many thanks to those who made it happen. . .
